About Faculty of Computer Science & Application

The Computer Science department at RSIT Group Of College, Umaria is fully committed to prepare its students with a vision, creativeness, and newness so that they can face the challenges of the corporate world. Highly qualified and experienced faculty members of the department play a major role in the College. The department aims to provide its students with an updated curriculum to analyze, develop, and monitor computers and its various applications as a mix of theory, practical, projects, seminars. The main goals are problem-solving, innovative thinking, analytic, teamwork, developing good communication skills, and readiness to learn new technologies such as artificial intelligence, IoT, machine learning, cloud computing, network security etc. .

  • Scope & Overview [BCA] :

    Bachelor of Computer Application is a 3-year graduate degree programme designed for students who want to make their career in the field of computer science and information technology. The course covers subjects like computer fundamentals and emerging technology, technical communication skills, networking and internet environment, web programming, data structure using C language, C++ and Object Oriented Programming, and more. The candidates are also given extensive project assignments and internships to enhance and cultivate their analytical thinking for solving practical problems. The candidate, after the course, can work in capacities of systems analyst, application analyst, quality assurance analyst, software developer, web designer, technical sales representative, IT consultant, network engineer, IT support analyst, software developer, software tester, and more. The candidate can also go for higher studies with courses like Master of Computer Application (M.C.A).

    Scope & Overview [MSC(IT/CS)] :

    Master of Science in Information Technology is a 2-year post-graduate degree programme designed for students who want to make their career in the field of Information Technology. The course covers subjects like introduction to programming, software engineering, strategic management, information technology planning an reengineering, networking system, digital logic, Database Management System, and more. The candidates are also given extensive project assignments and internships to enhance and cultivate their analytical thinking for solving practical problems. The candidate, after the course, can work in capacities of testing engineer, maintenance engineer, technical operations analyst, IT analyst, software engineer, network planning manager, application programmer, software engineer, and more. The candidate can also go for higher studies with courses like Ph.D.

    Scope & Overview [DCA] :

    DCA, Diploma in Computer Applications, is a one-year diploma course in the field of Computer Applications which involves study of numerous computer applications such as MS Office, Internet Applications, Operating System, Database Management System (DBMS), HTML among other subjects.
    The course curriculum ensures to provide an aspirant a deeper knowledge of the subject as well as will make the student technology friendly.

    Scope & Overview [PGDCA] :

    PGDCA or Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Applications is a 1-year postgraduate diploma course. he basic eligibility criteria required to pursue this course is graduation from any recognized university (or 10+2+3 format of education). Admission is usually done directly on the basis of merit in most of the colleges, followed by a round of Personal Round and Written Test in some colleges.
